Players Era Championships expands to 24 teams

Players Era Championships Expands to 24 Teams: The College Basketball Apocalypse?

ESPN, you son of a… what were you thinking? Giving these players more than 18 games is like putting them on steroids and then expecting them not to go bonkers. Now we have 24 teams, and each one gets three games? It’s like March Madness meets the NFL pre-season. Can you believe it? Michigan is playing Kansas in two weeks, and Texas Tech is facing off against Oregon State? This is going to be a complete disaster!

The whole concept of “meaningful competition” now seems laughable with a 24-team bracket. It’s like trying to have a serious tournament when half the teams are just there for the money. The top 8 seed will go to the finals, while the rest of the field is like the lottery numbers they used to give away at the casino.

ESPN, you’ve nerfed the bracket game so much that it looks like they’re trying to make March Madness feel like a summer league tournament. What were you thinking? You should have just kept it at 18 teams and called it good.

The Players Era is always about the money, but now they’re putting more dollars in their pockets with more games for the players to play. But what’s the point of having all these extra games if no one can actually remember who won them?

Let me tell you something else: 13 teams from last year made March Madness this year? What a joke! Did anyone even bother to watch these 24 teams play each other for the next two weeks in Vegas?

I’m telling you, ESPN, this is a disaster. You’re going to have players with 50+ games under their belt before the real season starts. It’s like they’re trying to get every player to the NBA as soon as possible, and there will be no need for an NBA training camp.

What do you think? Is this the future of college basketball?

@espn, @nfl, @netflix, @NBA, @MarchMadness

Players Era just gave every player 24 games. Did you even watch them play?
